Hama Beads
Have you tried Hama Beads? It is a fun activity which encourages creativity, concentration, and co-ordination. Perfect for schools, clubs and craft parties because of the amount of time the children (age 6 to adult) are happily occupied.
Instructions:
1. Place beads vertically onto the special re-usable pegboards. Use your imagination or follow one of the patterns in the inspiration books or group packs. The beads must be next to each other so they can be fused together.
2. An adult is needed for this stage because the iron is hot. Place Hama's special ironing paper over the beads on the pegboard. Iron on a warm setting using smooth circular movements for for 15 - 20 seconds. The beads will melt and fuse together.
3. Once cooled the solid design can be removed from the pegboard.
Make coasters, magnets, mobiles, picture frames, jewellery and more. The possibilities are endless!
